Every year, thousands of Australians are affected by these devastating events, whether it be through car crashes, other road trauma, falls, or violence. The consequences of trauma and injury can be severe, with long-lasting physical, emotional, and financial impacts. That’s why it’s so important that we promote the work of PITRI, to help reduce the incidence and severity of trauma and injury in our community.

Research into the causes, prevention and treatment of injuries and the effect of injuries is one way that researchers can play a vital role in improving outcomes, saving lives, and enhancing the overall well-being of West Australians.
